Dulas Ltd have been involved in all aspects of renewable energy for nearly 20 years in over 30 countries - spanning Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Cwm Croesor is a 500KW high-head hydroelectric scheme in a highly sensitive part of Snowdonia National Park. The extremely difficult terrain demanded an innovative approach to minimise disturbance to habitats and the landscape. Intensive reinstatement techniques included stonewall terracing and using geotextiles. The pipeline is completely buried and power transmitted to the grid via underground cable.
Almost all the equipment was UK-manufactured. The project - Dulas¹s third NFFO contract for National Power - was completed on time and on budget.

The solar water heating panels at Plas Crug Leisure Centre, Aberystwyth cover 200m2 - the largest of its type in Wales - heating the pool to 32*C. Since its installation in 1999 the system has generated 51.212 MW of clean energy, offsetting 11,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

In 2000 The Ceylon Electricity Board contracted Dulas Hydro as the lead UK consultants in a World Bank project to produce definitive guidance documentation for grid-connecting embedded generation, particularly small-hydro and Combined Heat and Power.
The Guide has formed the basis of new CEB regulations for connection of embedded generators up to 10MW connected at up to 33kV.
